New Year’s Day Message 2019
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord” (Jeremiah 17:7). As the church family of the National Capital Bible Church begins another calendar year, I pray that we will do so with our faith and dependence on the Lord. We often wish each other “Happy New Year” and appropriately so. We certain do wish that each and everyone of us will enjoy 2019 and find success, prosperity, and happiness. However, we all know that these qualities all begin with God and our relationship with Him through our Lord Jesus Christ. If we believe the Scripture passage above, that our blessings come from trusting the Lord, and that the Lord truly is our hope, then let’s build our spiritual insurance policy on Him through His Word. I encourage each of you to begin the New Year by reading Psalm 1 and Proverbs 1. The Lord will bless us if we are obedient, faithful, and grounded in His Word. I also encourage you to spend time reading your Bible each day. There are many Bible reading plans available, some simply start at Genesis and finish in Revelation. Others try to follow a chronological pattern. Others have different concepts or try to mix a Psalm or Proverb every day. One way to try maintaining moment is to try reading the entire Bible in one year. I prefer that idea as it provides incentive to be faithful, much like a goal in any other area of life. But whether you decide to choose a reading plan or not, please certainly find time for God’s Word each day. I know that 2019 will come with its problems and challenges for each of us. Let’s be prepared and allow God’s grace and mercy to be our solution. Finally, let’s spend time in prayer, for each other, our nation, and our church. In so doing, I trust we will have a Happy New Year!

Standing unequivocally for the fundamentals of the faith as contained in the Word of God, the principal purpose and objective of NCBC is to glorify God by: presenting the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ; edifying believers through the isagogical, categorical, and exegetical teaching of Scripture; equipping believers for the ministry; facilitating believers’ attainment of spiritual maturity; sending and support of missionaries; and the ordination of pastor-teachers.

Financial Policy

National Capital Bible Church is a grace ministry and operates entirely on voluntary contributions.  Giving is a matter of privacy between the believer and the Lord Jesus Christ.  Second Corinthians 9:7 says, "So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver."  When gratitude for the Word of God motivates a believer to give, he has the privilege of contributing to the dissemination of Bible doctrine.  If you choose to support this ministry, please send contributions to: National Capital Bible Church c/o 8001 Forbes Place, Suite 101 Springfield, VA 22151

Sunday School

The NCBC Sunday School is the primary means by which our children are provided a biblical education from our dedicated teachers. Our goal is to instill in children a love for the Lord and a desire to know His Word and be able to defend their faith. NCBC Sunday School uses the Answers in Genesis curriculum which walks the children through the Bible chronologically from Genesis to Revelation. We welcome all visitors and look forward to teaching your children about their Savior and His Word. Sunday School is taught during both services on Sunday morning. Children are to first go into the auditorium with their parents to sing hymns with the congregation; they will afterwards be dismissed to their classrooms.
NCBC Sunday School is presently organized into the following grade levels:

Nursery: infant - K
Primary: Grades 1 - 3
Junior: Grades 4 - 6
Children in grades 7+ are with the adults.
